Hey there, I´m Kelly and I love

capturing life’s lovely moments

I’ve been passionate about photography since my 8th birthday, when my parents gifted me a Kodak 110 cartridge camera. I spent that summer capturing countless moments, focusing on scenes that drew my eye or sparked my interest. I often wonder if my mom and dad regretted having to develop all that film!

In August 2020, I fulfilled my lifelong dream of starting a photography studio, initially based in our home, and then moving to my current location (with parking!) in downtown Floyd in August 2022. Becoming a full-time photographer has always been my ultimate goal. Life often brings unexpected challenges, and my journey was no different. My sweet daddy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in May 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. After a bad fall in September that year, my parents moved in with us in Floyd in October 2021. I left a fulfilling full-time job in Blacksburg with a fantastic company to become Dad’s full-time caretaker while pursuing photography to supplement my income.

Sadly, we lost Daddy in late September 2022, but not before we managed to get him up to the new studio location in his wheelchair. The look of love and pride in his eyes is something I will never forget, and visitors to my studio will see my favorite picture of me and Daddy proudly hanging above my desk. Losing my dad has only strengthened my dedication to working with my wonderful clients, capturing those fleeting and precious moments that mean the world. I am eager to work with you and show you just how beautiful and unique you truly are.
